How to Find an OSRS Clan and Raid Team in 2026

PaxJax Blog — How to Find an OSRS Clan and Raid Team in 2026

Most of Old School RuneScape is something you do alone: a skill to 99, a quest line, a collection log slot. Raids are different. Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood and Tombs of Amascut are where a team that knows each other clears faster, dies less and actually sees the purples. On 20 October 2026, Jagex adds a fourth, The Fractured Archive. Here’s how to find a clan and a raid team that will still be there for it in 2026.

Why a standing team beats a pick-up group

A raid with strangers is a gamble. You don’t know their gear, whether they know the mechanics, or whether they’ll leave after the first wipe. Pick-up groups are fine for a learner run. They’re much less fine for a raid where one mistake ends the attempt for everyone.

A standing team gets better every week. You stop re-explaining the mechanics, you know who calls the specs and who’s on which role, and you can plan gear upgrades around each other.

Know what you want a group for

OSRS has several different “I need people” problems, and each wants a different group:

ContentPlayersNotes
Chambers of Xeric (CoX)1 to 100Scales with team size; small teams are the most common
Theatre of Blood (ToB)1 to 5The raid that most rewards a practised team
Tombs of Amascut (ToA)1 to 8You set the difficulty with invocations
The Fractured Archiveplanned 2 to 8From 20 October 2026; solo possible but difficult
Nexup to 60A god wars boss that’s usually done in teams
Group Ironman2 to 5A shared Ironman account type, not a single encounter

All raids and Nex are members-only. Pick the content first. A team built to push high-invocation ToA and a clan that meets for Wintertodt on a Sunday aren’t the same group.

The Fractured Archive: what we know

The Fractured Archive is a run of demi-bosses followed by a final boss, in the style of Theatre of Blood, with no puzzle rooms. It’s under Lumbridge, and you need to have completed While Guthix Sleeps to enter. Jagex’s plan, which it says may change, is for the raid to scale from 2 to 8 players, with solo clears possible but difficult. A practice mode follows in the weeks after launch, not on day one.

That means the first weeks will be learner runs with people who’ve also never seen it. That’s the best time to find a team, because nobody has the kill count yet and everyone is learning together.

Agree on these before the first raid

  • Account type. Main, Ironman, Hardcore Ironman or Group Ironman changes who you can raid with. A Group Ironman team loses its Prestige if it raids with anyone outside the group.
  • Quest and stat requirements. The Fractured Archive needs While Guthix Sleeps. Check everyone has it before you set a night.
  • Roles and gear. Agree who’s on which role and what gear each person brings, so you aren’t sorting it out at the entrance.
  • Schedule and world. Pick a regular night and a world. Players on Windows, Mac, Steam, iOS and Android all share the same worlds, so platform doesn’t split a team. If your team is in South America, the Brazilian worlds (692 to 695) have been open since April 2026.

Join or build a clan

A clan is the long-term version of a raid team. The in-game Clans system, which launched in 2021, holds up to 500 members, with a clan chat, ranks, and a private Clan Hall. You can be a ranked member of only one clan, but you can sit in other clans’ chats as a guest, which is a good way to try a clan before you apply.

Founding a clan takes five players, each with at least 25 hours played. Clans recruit from the board in the Clan Hub, and you can apply from a clan’s guest chat.

Clans usually have a focus: PvM, skilling, PvP, Ironmen or a mix. A small clan of people who are online when you are often beats a big one full of strangers. If a clan’s chat is quiet in your hours, its raid nights will be too.

What’s coming this autumn

The PvP Tutorial arrived on 7 October: Pete Kayer’s Challenges, at the Ferox Enclave. The Fractured Archive launches on 20 October. Hardcore Worlds follow on 4 November: a new mode where you start a fresh character on separate worlds with their own economy and one life. When you die, you either start again or move your character to the main game, keeping your progress but not the items you lost. Further out, Jagex has announced Menaphos for 2027.

That’s a new raid and a new game mode within a month, and both are easier with people you already trust.

Where to look in 2026

Jagex closed the official forums in March 2024 and pointed players to its Discord servers and subreddits. Add clan Discords and the Clan Hub board, and you get plenty of places to post, but they all have the same gap. There’s no good way to find regular teammates who match your account type, your content and your hours. A “LF ToB team, EU evenings, can learn” post gets buried in minutes.

That’s the gap PaxJax fills. Instead of starting over every week, you can:

  • Filter players by the content they run, account type and schedule, so the people you find fit the raid.
  • Jump into Old School RuneScape game chat to find players who are online and looking right now.
  • Send an Invite to Play directly, so getting a team together takes one tap each.
  • Save a standing team with a Looking-for-Team profile, so the same people come back next week.

Find Your OSRS Raid Team

Turn one good raid into a standing team

When a raid goes well, because someone called the mechanics, nobody panicked at the final boss and everyone stayed for another run, don’t let those players disappear. Add them, invite them to your clan, and set a regular night. A team that’s learned The Fractured Archive together will clear it faster than any lobby.

The raiders worth keeping are the same in every raid. They know their role, they stay after a wipe, and they turn up on raid night. Find a few of those before 20 October.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find a clan in OSRS?
Decide what you want from a clan first: PvM, skilling, PvP, Ironman-friendly or social. Then look for one whose members are online when you are. In game, the recruitment board in the Clan Hub lists recruiting clans, and you can apply through a clan's guest chat. You can be a ranked member of only one clan at a time, so pick one that matches how you play.
How many players are in an OSRS raid?
Chambers of Xeric takes 1 to 100 players, Theatre of Blood 1 to 5 and Tombs of Amascut 1 to 8. The Fractured Archive is planned to scale from 2 to 8, with solo clears possible but difficult. All four raids are members-only.
When does The Fractured Archive come out?
On 20 October 2026. It's the fourth raid in Old School RuneScape, set in the caverns below Lumbridge: a run of demi-bosses and a final boss, with no puzzle rooms. You need to have completed While Guthix Sleeps to enter, and Jagex has said a practice mode will follow in the weeks after launch.
How big can an OSRS clan be?
Up to 500 members. Founding a clan takes five players, each with at least 25 hours played. Ranked members get access to the clan's chat and its Clan Hall, and other players can join the chat as guests.
Can a Group Ironman raid with other players?
Yes, but it costs the group its Prestige. A Group Ironman team has 2 to 5 players, and joining a raid or Nex with anyone outside the group removes Prestige status. Many GIM teams look for a full group of five so they can raid without outsiders.
Is there an LFG site for OSRS?
Yes. PaxJax is a looking-for-group platform where Old School RuneScape players list the content they run, their account type and their hours. Unlike a Discord post or a Reddit thread, your profile doesn't scroll away, and you can save the people you click with as a standing team.
