Find Old School RuneScape Players & Teammates
Old School RuneScape is a game you can play alone for a thousand hours, and then a raid shows up that you can’t. Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood and Tombs of Amascut all reward a team that knows each other, and on 20 October 2026 Jagex adds a fourth: The Fractured Archive, a run of demi-bosses beneath Lumbridge that’s built for 2 to 8 players.
The official forums closed in 2024, so recruiting now happens in Discord servers, subreddits and the Clan Hub board. Those posts scroll away fast. PaxJax turns “looking for a team” into a real search, filtered by the content you run, your account type and when you play, so you can find a clan or raid team that fits and keep it.

Old School RuneScape — frequently asked
- How do I find people to play OSRS with?
- Post a profile with the content you want to do, your account type and the hours you play, then browse clans and teams recruiting for that. On PaxJax you can filter by all of those and save a standing team, so the same people turn up for raid night every week.
- How do I find an OSRS clan?
- Look for a clan whose focus matches yours, whether that's PvM, skilling, PvP or a group of Ironmen, and whose members are online when you are. In game, the recruitment board in the Clan Hub lists clans that are recruiting, and you can apply from a clan's guest chat. A clan holds up to 500 members, and you can be a ranked member of only one, so it's worth choosing carefully.
- How many players can do a raid in OSRS?
- Chambers of Xeric takes 1 to 100 players, Theatre of Blood 1 to 5, and Tombs of Amascut up to 8. The Fractured Archive, launching on 20 October 2026, is planned to scale from 2 to 8 players, with solo clears possible but difficult. All raids are members-only.
- What is The Fractured Archive?
- It's Old School RuneScape's fourth raid, launching on 20 October 2026 in the caverns below Lumbridge. It's a run of demi-bosses followed by a final boss, with no puzzle rooms, and you need to have completed While Guthix Sleeps to enter. Jagex has said a practice mode will follow in the weeks after launch.
- Can I play OSRS with friends on mobile?
- Yes. Old School RuneScape has full cross-platform support, so players on Windows, Mac, Steam, iOS and Android share the same account and the same worlds. There is no console version.
- Can I challenge a specific player to a 1v1 in OSRS?
- Yes. In Emir's Arena, ranked fights are matchmade, but unranked duels let you choose your opponent, and Legacy Duels worlds let you right-click a player and challenge them with custom rules. There's no staking. Clan Wars at the Ferox Enclave also lets a chat-channel captain challenge another channel to a custom fight.
