PUBG Attachments & Loadouts in 2026
A tier list tells you which gun to pick up. It doesn’t tell you what to bolt onto it, and in 2026 that’s where most of the difference actually sits — the attachment pool changed more than the weapon pool did. This is the companion piece to our PUBG weapon tier list: what to build, on what, and what changed most recently.
What’s new: the RPD, and LMGs got good
Update 42.3 landed on 11 August 2026 as part of Krafton’s Meta Rotation initiative, and it’s the newest thing most guides haven’t caught up with yet.
The RPD is a new 7.62mm light machine gun:
- 43 damage per shot
- 750 RPM
- 735 m/s muzzle velocity
- 50-round magazine, expandable to 110
It trades the M249’s higher rate of fire for better per-shot damage. Two build constraints matter: the RPD cannot equip a foregrip or a muzzle attachment. It takes AR/LMG magazines, AR/LMG stocks, and scopes up to 6x — so you’re building it on magazine and stock, not on recoil control.
Every LMG got buffed in the same patch:
- Reload times down roughly 25%
- Maximum horizontal recoil down 30%
- Softer initial vertical recoil spike, with a cleaner overall pattern
That’s a substantial package. LMGs are still situational — you won’t out-rotate a squad carrying one — but for holding a compound or pinning a team in the open they’ve gone from novelty to genuine option.
The attachment meta
Two 2026 changes underpin everything below:
- The Angled Foregrip is gone from world spawn, and its horizontal-recoil role folded into the Half Grip, which now gives +16% horizontal recoil control instead of +8%. If Angled was your default, Half Grip is the replacement.
- The Tilted Grip gives +12% vertical, +6% horizontal, and +25% camera-shake control. That last number is the interesting one — less camera shake means you can actually see your target mid-burst, which on a 7.62 rifle is often worth more than the raw recoil figures suggest.
- The Hybrid Scope toggles between 1x and 4x instantly with the Sight Change key. It’s the best quality-of-life pickup in the game: one optic that covers compound fights and mid-range rotations means you stop compromising your build around whichever scope you happened to find.
The baseline shape hasn’t changed: Compensator + grip + optic, extended mag when you find one. Take the Compensator over the Suppressor unless you’re genuinely playing a stealth rotation — recoil control wins more fights than concealment does.
Per-gun builds
Beryl M762 — Compensator, Tilted Grip (or Half Grip), extended mag, Hybrid Scope. The Beryl’s whole problem is horizontal drift under sustained fire, so grip choice matters more here than on anything else. If your bullets end up above and left of where you meant, the Tilted Grip’s camera-shake control usually helps more than another few percent of recoil reduction.
M416 — Compensator, Half Grip, extended quickdraw mag, Hybrid Scope, tactical stock. It’s the only rifle that takes all five slots and rewards every one of them. Fully kitted it holds a laser past 100m.
AUG — Compensator, Half Grip, extended quickdraw mag, Hybrid Scope. Already the most stable 5.56 option, so build to extend that rather than to fix it. Doesn’t need the Tilted Grip.
ACE32 — Compensator, Half Grip, extended mag, Hybrid Scope. Sits between the Beryl and the M416 and builds like the M416 despite firing 7.62.
SLR — Compensator and a 4x or Hybrid. Worth revisiting: Update 42.1 cut its horizontal recoil about 10%, raised muzzle velocity from 840 to 870 m/s, and reduced vertical recoil buildup during sustained fire. It used to drift left; it does that noticeably less now.
Mk14 — Compensator, extended mag, 4x or 6x. Heavy recoil, heavy reward. Full-auto is a panic button, not a plan.
Vector — Extended mag first and everything else second. Without it the magazine empties before the kill; with it, it wins nearly every close-range duel it enters.
RPD — Extended mag and a stock, then a scope up to 6x. No foregrip, no muzzle, so don’t waste time looking for them.
Loadouts
- All-purpose: M416 + Kar98k. Compensator, Half Grip, Hybrid Scope. If you only learn one, learn this.
- Aggressive: Beryl M762 + Vector. Both need extended mags; the Beryl needs your grip discipline.
- Rotation-heavy: ACE32 + Mk14. Punishes teams crossing open ground.
- Compound holding: RPD or M249 + any stable AR. Newly viable after 42.3, and genuinely strong if your squad plays to hold rather than to move.
- Final circle: whatever you have, plus smokes. Positioning beats loot by a wide margin in the last two circles.
The thing attachments can’t fix
At the level most players are actually at, your build isn’t what’s ending your matches. Rotations are. Third-party discipline is. Whether your squad pushes at the same time is. A perfectly kitted Beryl doesn’t save a squad that got zoned into open ground, and a coordinated four running bare Mini14s will erase you anyway.
That’s a practice problem, and public matchmaking is bad at teaching it because half your lobby is fill players who don’t rotate like a real squad.
That’s what PaxJax is for:
- Find PUBG players and squads by rank and region, so you’re building a four at your level
- Line up scrims against real squads instead of grinding public lobbies
- See who’s online and looking right now, and send an Invite to Play
- Save the squads worth rematching with a Looking-for-Team profile
Keep it simple
Compensator, grip, Hybrid Scope, extended mag. Learn one rifle properly instead of rebuilding around every patch — the player with 200 hours on an M416 beats the player who picked up a “better” gun this week. Then go and read the full weapon tier list if you haven’t.

Frequently asked questions
- What new weapons were added to PUBG in 2026?
- The most recent is the RPD, added in Update 42.3 on 11 August 2026 as part of Krafton's Meta Rotation initiative. It is a 7.62mm LMG doing 43 damage at 750 RPM with 735 m/s muzzle velocity and a 50-round magazine that extends to 110. Earlier in the year Update 42.1 went the other way and permanently removed six weapons from world spawn.
- What are the best attachments for the Beryl M762 in PUBG?
- Compensator, then a grip — Half Grip for its +16% horizontal recoil control, or Tilted Grip if the camera shake is what is throwing your aim, since it gives +25% camera-shake control on top of +12% vertical and +6% horizontal. Add an extended mag and a Hybrid Scope. The Beryl's problem has always been horizontal drift under sustained fire, so grip choice matters more on it than on any other rifle.
- What are the best attachments for the AUG in PUBG?
- The AUG is already the most stable 5.56 rifle, so build it to extend that rather than to fix it: Compensator, Half Grip, extended quickdraw mag, and a Hybrid Scope so one optic covers both compound fights and mid-range rotations. It takes all five slots, and unlike the Beryl it does not need the Tilted Grip's camera-shake help.
- Is the Half Grip or the Tilted Grip better in PUBG?
- Half Grip if you want raw horizontal recoil control — it absorbed the removed Angled Foregrip's role and now gives +16% instead of +8%. Tilted Grip if you lose track of your target during a burst, because its +25% camera-shake control means you can actually see what you are shooting at, which often matters more than the raw recoil numbers suggest on a 7.62 rifle.
- Are LMGs worth using in PUBG now?
- More than before. Update 42.3 cut LMG reload times by roughly 25%, reduced maximum horizontal recoil by 30%, and softened the initial vertical recoil spike, alongside adding the RPD. They are still situational — you will not out-rotate a squad while carrying one — but for holding a compound or suppressing a position they are a real option rather than a novelty.
- What is the best all-round loadout in PUBG?
- M416 plus a Kar98k, built on Compensator, Half Grip and a Hybrid Scope. It covers zero to 300 metres with nothing you are bad at, and every piece of it is common enough that you can reliably assemble it instead of hoping for a specific drop.
