How to Find a Pro Clubs Team in EA FC 27
The biggest change in EA FC 27 for Clubs players isn’t a new skill move or a new archetype. It’s where Clubs lives. Clubs now sits inside The Grounds, a shared football world where up to 100 players wander, play pickup games, show off their pros and head into the clubhouse for 11v11. That makes it much easier to meet players. It doesn’t make it any easier to find ten who hold their position, track back and turn up again next week. Here’s how to build that club in FC 27.
What changed for Clubs in FC 27
If you played Pro Clubs in FC 26, here’s what’s different:
- Clubs is reached through The Grounds. The clubhouse is next to where you spawn. Walk in, and you go straight into a match with your club. The 11v11 mode is still there, with League and Playoffs, and The Grounds doesn’t replace it.
- The Grounds is a shared world of up to 100 players, split across three districts inspired by football culture in the UK, France and Argentina.
- Smaller games happen out in the world: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and Rush, plus a handful of football-adjacent party games.
- Archetypes return, with more on top. Temporary boosts last a few matches, and masteries let you level an archetype to unlock bonuses for your main pro.
- Current-gen only. EA says The Grounds, including Clubs, is only available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
| Date | |
|---|---|
| EA Play Pro (full game) | 17 September 2026, 23:00 UTC |
| Early access (Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions) | 18 September 2026 (PC: 17 September, 23:00 UTC) |
| EA Play (10-hour trial) | 18 September 2026, 04:00 UTC |

EA hasn’t said FC 27 Lite includes The Grounds or Clubs. Don’t plan on a friend trying Clubs through the free version before they buy.
What’s on for Clubs in launch week
EA’s launch update gives a club a reason to be ready before worldwide release:
- The first Club Tournament starts in early access. It’s a Classic Stadium 11v11 event that runs from early access through worldwide launch, with its own House Rules, entry requirements, Objectives and rewards.
- Tournaments pay more. You earn AXP and Grounds Coins as you play, and EA says limited-time experiences like Club Tournaments and Playoffs give bigger rewards.
- Builds are cheap to fix. Resetting your build doesn’t cost Grounds Coins, so a player whose build doesn’t fit your shape can change it. At launch, Amps don’t give PlayStyle+.
- Season 1 runs 17 September to 22 October. EA has also announced a European Nights event that builds from small-sided Live Events to an 11v11 Stadium Club Tournament.
If half your club is on the Ultimate Edition and half is waiting for 25 September, you won’t all be there for the first tournament. Agree which date you’re building for.
Settle the platform first
This is the one that splits clubs before a ball is kicked, so sort it out before anything else.
- PS4, Xbox One and the original Switch can’t play Clubs. FC 27 is sold on all three, but The Grounds isn’t in those versions. A club-mate still on last-gen hardware needs an upgrade to come with you.
- PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC play together. EA groups cross-play by console generation, and in FC 26 every Clubs match type was cross-play across those three. At the time of writing, EA’s cross-play help page still listed FC 26 modes rather than FC 27’s, so confirm it in-game.
- Switch 2 is on its own. EA says Switch and Switch 2 don’t cross-play with other platforms. A Switch 2 club plays with other Switch 2 players.
A club that agrees “we’re on PS5 and PC, cross-play on” in the chat before launch doesn’t lose its centre back to a platform mix-up on day one.
Use The Grounds to try players out, not as your club
Here’s where FC 27 helps. Before, finding out whether a stranger could actually play Clubs meant spending a full 11v11 match with them. Now you can watch a player in a 3v3 or a Rush game first, and small games show a lot fast:
- Who tracks back. In 3v3, one player ball-watching costs you a goal every time. You’ll know within a match.
- Who passes. Rush and 3v3 reward the square ball. Players who shoot from everywhere will do the same thing in your 11v11 league games.
- Who’s still there after losing. Losing a kickabout 5-1 tells you who quits and who wants a rematch.
Treat The Grounds as the trial and the clubhouse as the contract. When someone plays well in a small game, invite them to the clubhouse, then keep playing with them.
Fill the positions a club needs
A launch-week lobby will be crowded with strikers, because every new pro wants to score. A club that finishes a season needs a shape:
- A keeper who’s actually human. The position everyone skips, and the one that decides tight League games. If you find one, keep them.
- A back line that stays back. Two centre backs who won’t join the attack, and full backs who know when to go forward.
- A midfield anchor. A holding midfielder protecting the defence is worth more than a third playmaker.
- Forwards who make runs. Not five of them. Two or three who run in behind instead of dropping in to ask for the ball.
Agree on archetypes as a club, too. With masteries rewarding the time you put into one archetype, players will commit to a build early. You want the builds to fit together, not five copies of the same pacey winger.
Don’t assume your FC 26 club carries over
EA’s published carry-over details cover Ultimate Team, where your club name and established date move across. It hasn’t said anything about Clubs carrying over, and The Grounds changes how you get into Clubs anyway. Plan as if you’re starting fresh, and if your setup does come across, that’s a bonus.
What does carry over is your players. If you ran a club in FC 26, ask your regulars now who’s picking up FC 27, and on which platform. That’s easy to settle this week and messy to sort out after launch. For how that club came together in the first place, see our guide to finding people to play EA FC 26 with.
How PaxJax helps you build it
The Grounds will be full of people at launch, but a busy lobby isn’t a club. The places people usually look for Clubs players (in-game drop-in, subreddits, big Discord servers) all have the same gap. There’s no good way to find regular players who fit your position, your platform and your schedule. A “need GK and CDM, PS5, EU” post gets buried in minutes.
That’s the gap PaxJax fills. Instead of starting over every session, you can:
- List the position you play, whether that’s attacker, midfielder, defender or goalkeeper, so a club missing a keeper can find you.
- Filter players by game, platform and region, so the people you find are in your cross-play group and your time zone.
- Send an Invite to Play directly, so getting a match together takes one tap.
- Save a standing club with a Looking-for-Team profile, so your eleven get back together for the next League night instead of starting from scratch.
Turn launch week into a standing club
Launch week is the best time to recruit you’ll get all year. Everyone is new, nobody has a settled club yet, and The Grounds is full of players looking for one. Try people out in 3v3 and Rush, invite the good ones to the clubhouse, and save the ones who turn up again.
The players worth keeping are the same as every year. They hold their position when the ball’s on the other wing, they call the run instead of just making it, and they stay on at 2-0 down. Find ten of those and FC 27 is a very different game.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Pro Clubs still in EA FC 27?
- Yes. EA calls it Clubs, and in FC 27 you reach it through The Grounds: the clubhouse sits next to where you spawn, and from there you go straight into 11v11 with your club. League and Playoffs are still there. The Grounds adds smaller games around it, but it doesn't replace Clubs.
- What is The Grounds in EA FC 27?
- The Grounds is FC 27's new shared football world. Up to 100 players share it across three districts inspired by football culture in the UK, France and Argentina. You customise your pro there, play 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and Rush games, and walk into the clubhouse for full 11v11 Clubs matches.
- Can you play EA FC 27 Clubs on PS4 or Xbox One?
- No. EA says The Grounds, including Clubs, is only available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. FC 27 itself is still sold on PS4, Xbox One and the original Switch, but those versions don't have Clubs.
- Does EA FC 27 Clubs have cross-play?
- EA groups cross-play by console generation: PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC play together, while Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 don't cross-play with anyone else. In FC 26, every Clubs match type was cross-play across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. At the time of writing, EA's cross-play help page hadn't yet listed FC 27's modes, so check in-game once you're in. Switch 2 clubs play with other Switch 2 players.
- When does EA FC 27 come out?
- Worldwide release is 25 September 2026 (24 September, 23:00 UTC on PC). The Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions get up to seven days of early access from 18 September (17 September, 23:00 UTC on PC). EA Play Pro members get the full game from 17 September, 23:00 UTC, and EA Play members get a 10-hour trial from 18 September. A free FC 27 Lite also arrives on 25 September, but EA hasn't said it includes The Grounds or Clubs, so don't count on it for trying out Clubs.
- Is there a Club Tournament at launch in EA FC 27?
- Yes. EA says the first Club Tournament is a Classic Stadium 11v11 event that starts in early access and runs through worldwide launch, with its own House Rules, entry requirements, Objectives and rewards. Club Tournaments and Playoffs give bigger rewards than regular play, so it pays to have your eleven ready on day one.
- Does my FC 26 club carry over to FC 27?
- EA's carry-over details cover Ultimate Team, where your club name and established date move across. It hasn't said anything about Clubs carrying over, and The Grounds changes how you get into Clubs, so assume you're starting fresh until EA says otherwise. What does carry over is your players. Ask your FC 26 regulars now who's picking FC 27 up, and on which platform.
